Historic Mount Vernon YRE

HISTORIC MOUNT VERNON YRE

The Pentagon Pacesetters proudly announce the the YRE for Mount Vernon is open and waiting for your participation! Participants can register for this most unique event by going directly to the main entrance gate and identifying yourself as a volkssporter wishing to participate in this superb 10 kilometer event. The gate control personnel will allow you to enter and you will find the start box at your right, and in a red container marked "Volksmarch". All participants must register in the event log book and then complete a start card, including the waiver on the back, and take a bound trail guide for your use. The trail is not marked but participants will have no difficulty following the guide as the written directions are complimented by a map on the left side of each page providing your route for those specific instructions.

Once you have completed your start card, return to the ticket window and pay the required fees. Your participation fees include your entrance fee for Mount Vernon. However, we recommend that participants do not prepare their checks (cash is acceptable) until they reach the ticket window as certain discounts may apply to your admission fee. Checks for your participation and admission are made payable to the MVLA.

At the conclusion of your adventure, you will find our event stamp in the start box. Additionally, you will find AVA Event and Distance Books and an assortment of other items of interest. To purchase these items, simply note the prices on the items, total your purchase, and write a check (or cash) payable to the Pentagon Pacesetters and place that in the blue zippered bag along with your completed start card.
