Turn left ont Route 619 (Joplin Road)at bottom of ramp. Park entrance will be approximate 1000 yards to the right.

Follow entrance road to Visitor Center for registration.

After registration, turn right on scenic road and head for Turkey Run.(not too clear in instructions)

Open Dail, 8:30 to 5. Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas. Trail is rated 3. There is also a trail rated 1 but I did not see (look) for the instructions, it seemed to be paved roads and not my cup of tea. Pets must remain on leash. There is a park entrance fee, Old geezers like myself who have Golden Age or Golden Eagle do not pay. An annual pass is available.

Tent, RV and cabins are available. Call for reservations.

Park may close in inclement weather.

Wearing of good hiking boots is highly recommended, bring plenty of water.

The trail rated 3 traverses steep terrain as it follows interior park trails and fire roads. The walk along the creek is fantastic but a scramble in places. It has great scenery and is most enjoyable. It is one of the newer walks in the area and a very welcome addition.
